We’re going to make this short and sweet, to the POINT!
How to create a balance that works for you, why is it so important to have a healthy balance between your mind and soul? We’re also going to chat about when to set boundaries and not allow anyone to affect your self-esteem.
First, you are who you surround yourself with, pick and choose your queens carefully. Set your vibe, find your happy mood moment. you can’t pour energy out of an empty cup!!
Let’s start! to create balance in your life your glass has to always be half full. Give 50 and get 50. for example, Give 20 at work, give 10 to friends, give 10 to family, and 10 to a partner. The more you add to the give list, the less you will be able to give. If you add the neighbors to the list you’re going to have to start giving 10 to work instead of 20. the more things in your life that you have to GIVE TO. the less energy you’ll have to actually share. Go ahead now and make your GIVE 50 list.
Write down every person, project, and activity that comes to your mind and start cutting down the list to end up with 5 to 6 ONLY. Step two is to number them from 1 to 6; from most to least important. This will become your priority list!
Make time for things that make you feel good about yourself. Start with something that makes your confidence level skyrocket, boosts your energy, and forces you to get out of work mindset.
Now time to get your 50 back. Pick any 5 things! For example, 10 from exercise, 10 from attending a dance class, 10 from reading. Pick any 5 things that will fill your cup. Those activities can be a mix of group activities or alone time or self-development. As long as it has the magical ability to take you to a “ME ZONE”.
Have you got your list? now let’s set it in stone pencil in your calendar make sure you book/ pay/ buy any of in two to three of those activities and commit to it on two separate nights/ days a week. prep is key !! The magic of a date night with your boyfriend, girlfriend; maybe even family. Someone that is able to make you laugh so hard and fulfill the 50 cups, and while you’re there ask them to point out what is it that they love about you the most.
Set Your Boundary
Discovering what you like to do alone is hard, we’re not used to it. Having to spend time with yourself to reflect, prioritize and plan is useful. Aim to revisit your own memories to plan your next step. Remember out of your 50 list to set time aside for yourself.
Dear queen, you have to have your own back and your own PPW ( presence, power, and warmth). power is not social status, it’s not a job nor is it related to being bitchy or mean. being powerful is to have the ability to represent your strength and what your good at the right time and place. Being an expert in your field is POWER, your attitude your voice, and posture are also power. Learning to say no without an explanation, because of the boundaries you set is also power. not everyone needs to be told” the why” behind your decision or your plan. setting your boundaries is as important as setting you to give 50 and get 50 lists. Your next exercise is to write down 5 things that you’re an expert at, your source of power. On my list of power, I have a few things I want to be better at.
